When we were with our party last we know that Thorn gave himself for his people and that our elven lead had even found herself a love interest in a planeswalker named Dijen. Though losing a friend, and gaining a new one through interesting means, there is more that awaits our fledging party of adventurers and it all starts with a letter from a stranger.

I should start this with a certain fact. When I was younger, I grew up with men that were with my mother. She had them in their own part of the house and I rarely saw them. Only at social functions and dinner really.

Sarven - He was formerly a ranger who trekked across most of the woods and the country.

Elran - A druid who fell under the charm of my mother. He taught me most of what I knew about nature.

Aenelis - He was a bard, an interesting sort of man who actually brought life to the dreary castle.

Carric - Lastly was the disgraced monk. I never knew how she landed a monk, but he was my favorite. Different from the other men.

When I was growing up, and my mother went off the deep end, he was there. He was the one to give me my book of gods.

Carric was the one to ever tell me about my father. When I grew up, my birth father was never around and I never knew why. At a young age, He told me that he had met a terrible fate.

This day shouldn’t have been any different. When went to check on my new guild to see if there were any jobs available, but something was wrong.

The high elf normally posted there, told me that since a noble had found them and was looking for me, they had to go into hiding.

After that, I supposed it was going to be a normal day, but- Then again, when were things ever normal for me?

I was just about ready to really do some light shopping in the market place when a little boy came running up to me.

“Missus! Missus!”

On my heel, I spun around and looked down. He held up a letter and for a moment, I panicked a bit, before I pulled out a few gold pieces. After the exchange, I found a nice shady place to read it.

The letter read of a place where I would meet someone who had been looking for me. The Winking Tarrasque.

It said to come alone.

When I found my way to the path, I gripped onto the handle of my dagger, ready to face whatever would face me.

Getting there, I was met with a great shock.

It was the noble elf that had been looking for me.

“Dear Lord, you look like her.”

I look like my - mother?

It was my father. My birth father. Not one of the ones from the house, but my birth father.

Introductions were awkward, but inside, I was excited to actually meet him.

“I am sure you know of your mother’s studies into blood magic, making her not sane.”

The scars that littered almost every inch of my body started to burn - remembering the night I got them. Echoing screams filled my ears as I felt my skin just start to itch as I focused back on him.

I would have my own revenge on her and in my own time. “ Astar- That is my family’s last name, and if you want to use it as your own, you can take it as your own.”

A new last name? A new start?

“Kava Astar.”

It felt great to rid myself of the last name that has haunted me for almost fifteen years.

He smiled and I felt myself smile in return, and for a moment, I saw that we looked alike.

Both of us had the same crinkles next to our eyes when we smiled and it felt nice to see a smile like mine, and it wasn’t malicious.

Then, we spoke of something that made my heart leap with joy. Revenge against my mother.

After finishing our brief talk, and I headed back to my room I rented.

“Even in the blackest of nights, Astar will lead the way.”

That night, I dreamt that I was on a battlefield, but I wasn’t myself. When I looked down, my arms were similar of my former dragon-born companion, but instead of the pitch black that thorns were or the bright white of the new half dragon that happened to just join us.

My arms were silver and - no, my scales were platinum and when I looked up, there was Chad - a friend of mine since I had gotten to this town. Father of a brilliant magic user, and that’s when I woke up.

After that odd dream, and a bit of breakfast, Moriz and I decided to visit Chad’s home, but we found Arthur alone. It was a few minutes into chatting when Arthur pulled out an oddly familiar symbol. The symbol of the platinum dragon Bahamut.

The Platinum Dragon-

I scared Moriz and Arthur with my sudden burst of energy, making me run towards the dragon settlement. It was a few minutes of straight running, but if I had thought it was true, then this was amazing.

We made our way into the settlement and we found Chad there. Catching our breaths, I managed to sputter out a poor excuse on why we had interrupted the conversation of the half dragon and Chad.

Though I don’t know why Moriz said this, but after the phrase, “The colors fly true in the north.”

We were trusted after that.

Chad was no longer Chad. Chad was the platinum dragon god, Bahamut. While our whole party was just left in shock, Arthur wasn’t. I couldn’t fault him, finding out that your dad was really a dragon and a god, it was really cool.

My heart was pounding in my chest like a drum as I fell to my knees.

I’m cleric, I’m an agent of the gods, but yet seeing one in person, I just wanted to run.

Even as I sit in my room, my heart is still thrumming with the excitement from today.

Often I used to think the meaning of my life was that there was no hope, that there was no change, only stopped moments.

Now things were changing, and my life wasn’t molasses on a sail anymore. Revenge was on the tip of my tongue and I could taste it.

Sleep is an anxious paramour who wants me to join him.

I shall update you when necessary. I think that sleep is starting to overcome me so forgive me for ending this short.

Until next time, my friend.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
