Everyone Loves Pumpkin Spice Lattes In The Fall But There Are 8 Other Reasons To Love Fall Besides PSL

My favorite color is October and at this point, my blood type is pumpkin spice.

Fall is the time of year where the trees are beautiful, everything is pumpkin flavored, and I can finally start spicing up my all-black wardrobe with some cute scarves and boots.

There are many, many reasons why fall is better than spring, summer, and winter combined, but here are nine obvious reasons why fall is by far the greatest season.

1. You don't have to sweat pounds off just walking to class.

I speak for the majority of college students when I say that walking 15 minutes to class in 90-degree weather with the sun beating down right on you is not ideal. However, in fall you can walk to class with a nice cool breeze and not make others gag at the sight--or smell--of your sweat.

2. The trees. Just the trees.

Trees are great; they provide us with shade, food, and oxygen. However, nothing makes them stand out more than when their leaves begin to turn different shades of yellow, orange, and red. It's a sight for sore eyes, that's for sure.

3. Cute scarves

Now, I may wear black 24/7, but I do like to spice it up and throw a scarf on every once in awhile. There's no better time to do that than the fall.

4. Pumpkins

Pumpkins are the greatest vegetables in the history of vegetables. You can use them to bake so many different goods, and their iconic jack-o-lantern faces are amazing.

5. Thanksgiving

Nothing is more important to me than family, as I have expressed in many of my other articles. Getting to spend time with my family--while eating the greatest food ever--is something that I will forever be thankful for.

6. Halloween

Nothing screams fall like Halloween, with little kids dressing up in their favorite costumes and all of the college students going to "wild west" or "zombie" parties.

7. Boots

Boot season! You can finally pull out all of the cute booties and suede wedges. Boots are like scarves, they help spice up all of the plain outfits you have, and you sure as heck can't wear them during the summer or spring.

8. Cute dates

As cliche as they can be, going on a date to a pumpkin patch, apple picking, and even a picnic, are great date ideas for the fall. You can try all you want to, but you won't find a pumpkin patch during the summer.

9. Pumpkin spice freaking latte

We all knew this was coming, but Starbucks really did hit the nail on the head with their pumpkin spice latte. It's basically drinking fall from a cup.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
