The term "Ohana" meaning family, has never rang truer than it did that lone week in the summer a couple years ago that I happened to experience one of the best weeks of my life. I can attest that it was not just me.
LEAD is a program the week before the actual conference where you and 30 other strangers are "forced" to like each other and you dive into your faith. Before LEAD I thought I knew who God was, after LEAD I REALLY knew who God was. LEAD opened my eyes to God's endless love for each and everyone on this planet.
I could not speak of LEAD without talking abut my "Ohana". The amazing, kind hearted, brothers and sisters in Christ I met during that week will forever hold a special place in my heart. We laughed a lot, cried, prayed, sang, rejoiced and grew to know God is such a deeper way than before. This could not have happened without our amazing leaders who held our hand every step of the way through talks, small groups and adoration. They really loved Jesus and radiated that in every action they did during the week.
"YOU ARE IN A MAIZE" will be something I will never forget, just like many people on LEAD. Just as I thought the week could not get any better, I was wrong. The actual Steubenville conference arrived and I was amazed. The atmosphere, the thousands of high schoolers waiting to let Jesus work in their heart and the many, many speakers who spoke from their heart topped off one of the best weeks of my life. Steubenville conferences and LEAD is a very special place and I encourage every high schooler to attend because it really life changing.
