My Experience At A 5SOS Concert

Sounds Live Feels like a great time.

One of my favorite bands of all time is 5 Seconds of Summer, and this year would be the third time I've seen them. I recently saw them on their Sounds Live Feels Live (SLFL) tour, at Tinley Park in Chicago. Let me just start by saying, out of all the times I've seen them, they've never put on a bad show.

Upon arrival to the venue, we had no idea where our seats would be. Due to a mishap at last year's concert, I had seats in will call. That was where we found out we had VIP seats. So, extremely excited as we were, we made our way to our seats and then half an hour later the show began.

The first band was Hey Violet. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of them. However, they seemed to have a pretty decent fan base at the concert which was cool. Unfortunately they opened up for them last year, so it was (sort of) a letdown that they had one of the same opening acts. Hey Violet did play a new song of theirs called "Brand New Moves" which was actually really good.

The next band that played was One Ok Rock. I had never heard of them before this show, and I was pleasantly surprised. I still don't know any of their songs, but I'm actually willing to learn them. I think this band was a wonderful choice as a second opening act.

Finally, it was time for them to come out. The lights went down and everyone, and I mean everyone, started screaming. You couldn't hear the person next to you. About halfway through the concert, Michael stood on stage and took out his in-ears. He listened to everyone screaming and was just amazed by it. I swear, nothing in my life has ever been louder.

At the end of the concert, they began to play a song that they never play in concert, and I mean never. Once they started playing it, the entire crowd went wild and everyone knew the lyrics by heart (including me).

Went the concert ended, they came out for an encore. Actually, two encores. It was amazing. The moment when you leave the concert, your ears still ringing, is truly the best moment. If you've never seen 5 Seconds of Summer live, then I seriously suggest seeing them!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
