Yes! it's Official, Gossip Girl has been ordered to have a reboot at some point next year. HBO has decided to take on with the series on their new platform called HBO Max, which will be released on Spring 2020 with more than 10,000 hours of new content!
We are beyond thrilled to see this iconic series take place in the present day and see what gossip girl has become throughout the years!
There is no cast or plot confirmed yet, but what we do know is that it will take place eight years after the original website went dark, a new generation of New York private school teens are introduced to the social surveillance of Gossip Girl," the logline reads. "The prestige series will address just how much social media -- and the landscape of New York itself -- has changed in the intervening years." There hasn't been any confirmations on whether the old cast will be in the new adaption of the series, but on Chace Crawford's part we do seem to have a chance to see our delightful Nate Archibald, he said in a recent interview that a gossip girl reboot needs to be made and that he would be happy to do a cameo for the new series.
People are scared for this reboot as well because we all know that these iconic characters CANNOT be replaced because who will be sassy as Blair Waldorf? Who will be as flirty as Serena? Or who will be charming as Chuck Bass?.
Well, for the sake of all you socialites I have come up with a dream cast that can maybe do the job for this new series.

We expect the series to have a 10 episode season, an hour each, as it was told by one of the producers that will be working on this new project. We cannot wait for the final result of this!
