Everything You Need To Pack Into Your Summer Bucket List

Unless you live in Bloomington, IN where it snows one day and two days later it's 70 and sunny, summer is right around the corner.

Ah yes. The pools are opening and people are pulling out their shorts and tank tops.

Summer is more than just warm weather though. It's travelling, fun with friends, driving with the windows down and making long-lasting memories. Part of that is a strong bucket list. Sitting at home and making last minute plans to hang with friends can be fine, but making a list of things to do when hanging around your house just isn't enough is always a plus. Trust me you'll thank me later.

Here are the top five most important things to include on a solid bucket list.

1. The vacation.

Everyone loves a good road trip. Gather up your best friends and get in the car! If you're from Indy some great places to visit are

Turkey Run: a huge state park full of lots of fun trails and a few good places to eat.

Holiday World: An amusement park with roller coasters and water rides for when it's extra steamy outside.

Indiana Dunes: If you need a beach, but don't want to drive very far the dunes are for you!

2. Boating

What better way to spend a day than on a boat with your best friends? This one is great for the really hot days when you know the water is going to be warm. Make sure to bring lots of cold drinks and snacks!

3. Cliff diving

Another really great one for the really hot days. Make a day out of it. A nice place for this is White Rock Park. They have sectioned off so many places and heights to jump from. You could easily spend your whole day here. Perfect place for a picnic too.

4. Have a girls night

There is nothing better than grabbing a nice dinner with your girl pals to catch up. Make reservations or go get McDonald's and eat it wherever. You do you, girl.

5. The farmers market

YES! Get up early with your friends and ride your bike to your local farmers market. Homemade waffles, donuts, and fresh fruits and veggies are where it is at! This is an awesome way to start your day and makes for such a fun morning.

Whatever you decide to do this summer, have fun and live it up. We all know just how fast it goes by.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
