If you haven't yet heard of the phenomenon taking over Netflix and the Internet… It's called stranger things. It's a Netflix mystery/drama/sci-fi miniseries about a group of kids who go on a hunt to find their missing friend. Spoiler, there won't be any spoilers in this article but if you haven't seen it yet it's definitely something to check out. But why is everyone so obsessed?

Well…

1. There's no other show like it anywhere.

One of the main draws to stranger things is that you can't find anything else like it on the Internet or on TV right now. The show has drama, teen romances, Government conspiracies, sci-fi, and kids as the main characters which doesn't often happen. Not to mention that all the kids are super cute and hard not to love right off the bat. The show is so relatable even though it brings in so many different genres and that's one appeal to the show.

2. It's a short series that definitely packs a punch.

We know that sometimes we don't all have time to sit through 13 seasons of the show that takes up weeks or even months to get through. So the fact that stranger things is a miniseries with eight episodes definitely is a catch. These hour-long episodes for fill a complete plot character development and everything that you could ask for from a long series but in only a few episodes. It's most certainly a show that once you watch one episode you won't be able to stop, and you could even get through it in one day if you binge watch it which we all know you probably will! If you have eight hours to spare on a weekend, grab some popcorn and enjoy!

3. The kids! The kids! The kids!

If you haven't seen Stranger Things you probably have no idea what I'm talking about…But the kids who are the main characters are the cutest things ever. Besides the fact of being adorable they're also incredible actor is thatdefinitely bring the story to life. One of the main characters, 11, is a young actress from Great Britain named Millie who will certainly knock your socks off. She's so young and so talented in this role you definitely have to see her. But besides her, the rag tag gang of Bros that go on this Journey with her are pretty cool too. You have the smart kid the lovable kid and the funny kid who all join together to make a really great team!

4. There's something for everyone in it!

If you like romance this show has it. If you like aliens and otherworldly beings, the show has it. If you like drama and mystery, the show has it. The list could go on for hours but basically the show has a little bit of something for everyone even comedy for people who don't like such a heavy show. It's not a sob fest like Grey's Anatomy and it's not to laugh out loud series like The Office or Parks and Rec. So if you haven't yet checked out stranger things I 100 percent suggest giving it a shot and so does the rest of the Internet. Start it and see what you think!
