The bustling city can be intimidating for most with the bright lights that fill the sky, crowded walkways, and packed streets. However, it is the calmer and equally amazing side of New York City that I admire most.
New York City is one of my favorite places to visit in the United States. The skyscrapers make for beautiful skyline views and the busy city atmosphere always lends way to an exciting adventure. There is so much to do in New York City and it feels like there is always something new to experience.
There is more to New York City than Times Square. The bright lights and crowded streets of Times Square can be fun every now and then, but the true beauty of New York City lies in unexpected places. My favorite thing about New York City is how nature always seems to find a way to shine through. The concrete jungle is no match for mother nature as grass, plants, and shrubs sometimes grow along the buildings and sidewalks of the busy New York City streets.
Chelsea and Tribeca are really interesting places to go when Times Square becomes too overwhelming. These areas can be a lot more relaxed while also even providing a truer New York City experience.
One of my absolute favorite places in New York City is Central Park. I could walk around Central Park for hours and still not be satisfied with the number of floral pictures I have acquired. The various plants, flowers, and trees all flourishing just outside an area of such incredible industrialization has always amazed me. My favorite spot in Central Park, however, is an area looking out towards the city. There is an area packed with natural rock and it is a beautiful spot to sit and think, of course, when it isn't too crowded.
