I think that this one is more for me than for you. These are the scriptures that I either know by heart or know the principle that I remind myself of throughout my day. I don’t know everything there is to know about the Bible. I haven’t ever sat down and read the whole thing even, but I do know that God is the reason I’m here and God has given me everything in my life.
Scripture to remind me that I am strong enough
I pray almost every day for the strength from God to get through the day, my struggle, class. God is the reason I have survived %100 of my bad days.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Proverbs 4:13
Be strong in the Lord and his mighty power. Ephesian 6:10
Scripture to remind me that I am worthy
Sometimes I get hyper-focused on what I want and not what I’m actually worthy of. I start helping other people too much not realizing that I am worthy of great things too.
She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her. Proverbs 3:15
Scripture to remind me, “Let go and let God”
Usually, I try to do everything by myself. That’s when I need a reminder that I not only need to ask my friends and family for help but that I also need to let God handle things.
The name of the lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. Proverbs 18:10
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
Scripture to remind me that everything happens for a reason
If I didn’t talk to the new girl, I wouldn’t know what I know now. If I didn’t have to scramble to find a new prom group I would never have really met him. If I hadn’t replied to a text, I would have never gotten to know him.
My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline or be weary of his reproof. Proverbs 3:11
Everything that happens in this world happens at the time God chooses. Ecclesiastes 3:1
(At a specific time)
If I had been born a year later, I wouldn’t have the same friends. If I had lost that friend a few months later, I wouldn’t have made those new friends then. If I had moved a couple years earlier, I wouldn’t have been bullied but I would have completely different a perspective on life.
He sets the time for birth and the time for death, the time for planting and the time for pulling up, the time for killing and the time for healing, the time for tearing down and the time for building. He sets the time for sorrow and the time for joy, the time for mourning and the time for dancing, the time for making love and the time for not making love, the time for kissing and the time for not kissing. He sets the time for finding and the time for losing, the time for saving and the time for throwing away, the time for tearing and the time for mending, the time for silence and the time for talk. He sets the time for love and the time for hate, the time for war and the time for peace. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
