Endgame is upon us. Marvel Studio's twenty-second film in their cinematic universe is fast approaching. After their failure to saving the universe at the end of "Avengers: Infinity War" the remaining Avengers must step up and find a way to defeat the mad titan Thanos. It is a film eleven years in the making. With the release of the special look on April 2nd, ticket pre-orders became available. So many people went to pre-order tickets that Fandango crashed. Personally, I feel like those people are fools but that's beside the point.
So as the weeks' fast approach for the end of the Avengers, many people are trying to find a way to ruin the film for everyone. Disney and Marvel are keeping everything about Endgame under wraps but there's nothing they can do once that film premieres and spoilers run amuck. That is why I have a tip or two for protecting yourself on the internet for the next couple of weeks if you are trying to go into Endgame blind. These tips are not easy, and only the strongest willed can truly pull it off. Okay, that might be dramatic but still, it's important to go in spoiler-free.

First off, we are going to talk about your eyes. Your eyes love picking up on details. Think of all the times your eyes wander off because you notice something. It might be someone wearing something cute or that adorable corgi that is sometimes walked down Morton Hill. Our eyes registered every little detail in the world and relay it back to us. And with social media, our eyes are glued to a screen that's only a few inches long/wide. Meaning there isn't much wondering room for your eyes. Normally this is fine when you are scrolling through Instagram or Twitter. But when you're trying to avoid movie spoilers, it can be a nightmare. We all know how Instagram likes to show comments under the post. Or the dreaded "explore page" that a lot of the time tailors too much to the things we like.
When people post screenshots of new TV Spots or trailers, it ends up one way or another on the explore page. So, here you are; On the explore page and some shmuck wants to post a screenshot from a new "Avengers: Endgame" TV Spot. What do you do? Easy, blur your eyes. It sounds easier than it sounds, but if you are able to instantly blur your eyes when reading a caption or looking at a picture, then you pretty much beat all the trolls looking to spoil movies. Again, it requires practice, it took me a couple of superhero movies to master. Blurring your eyes on command can be a great party trick too. I don't know how but think about it. How many people do you know that can instantly blur their eyes?
Another tactic you can take to avoid spoilers is simply unfollowing movie studio accounts and/or sits that like to repost trailers. Marvel's YouTube page likes to post clips of their upcoming movies on their YouTube Page. I always disliked this because it seemed to me that the studio didn't care about not spoiling their own films. I know that THEY know that people are going to see these films regardless, but what ends up happening is that trolls once again go and repost the trailer on their pages hoping for the dopamine boost or wanting to troll a poor defenseless user. The way to combat these pages is to unfollow them or mute their posts/stories. That way if you can't bare life without Instagram then you can at least scroll through protected.
Finally, if you are really desperate to delete the apps off your phones. Sure, you won't know if Trump decides to nuke North Korea or if Ariana Grande posted a new song. But at least you won't get spoiled with Endgame. This the last resort option. The infamous plan Z. If you are strong enough to attempt this then props to you. Sure we necessary don't need Instagram or Twitter or Facebook in our lives. But sometimes I want to know if my life is in danger from a nuke. All jokes aside it can be done if you are really that desperate.
Hopefully, these tips can help you on your internet journey the next couple of weeks. There isn't too much we can do to fight off against trolls but it's a start.
