Are You An Elephant?

Do you relate to elephants on a spiritual level? Do you wear elephant pants and post on Facebook about saving elephants from poachers? Do you think maybe you were an elephant in a past life? Well, here's your chance to find out! Ask yourself these questions to determine on what level you relate to elephants!

Do you have eyelashes?

If you don't, you're clearly not an elephant. Or a mammal, for that matter.

Do you have a trunk?

If you do, I hope you're skilled at picking up things and collecting water with it!

Can you swim?

If you can, you should be able to use your trunk like a snorkel!

Do your teeth weigh three kg?

If so, I hope you have a toothbrush as large as this.

Do you drink 80 gallons of water in a day?

I hope you have a large bladder for all that water.

Do you have large ears?

It's almost like Dumbo!

Do you comfort your young when they are upset?

Or maybe you can express grief and compassion.

Do you like to play?

I'm sure you do!

If you answered yes to all of these questions, there is no doubt in my mind that you are an elephant. If you only answered yes to a few, odds are you still relate to elephants on a spiritual level.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
