7 Easy Ways To Make Self-Care A Priority In Your Life Today

Self-care is an essential underrated necessity for us to touch "our" abstract idea of happiness – An intention we all endeavor, yet we remain fogged in the trail of optimally achieving it.

Caring for ourselves empowers us to consider our happiness first. It trains us to protect our value, our health, and our happiness; and being happy from within allows us to advance and provide a positive environment for the people we love and care about the most.

Let's start to take better care of ourselves!

1. Exercise

Exercise plays a fundamental role in being healthy. Exercising not only makes you feel good about yourself but also helps you set goals for yourself. It gives you a foundation to further make better.

Setting goals for yourself also serves as a brilliant lifestyle exercise, as it makes "you" a better "you"!

2. Have a Healthy Diet

Being healthy is not about looks or attractiveness, it's about being able to do things, being able to go places, and being able to live. A healthy diet is extremely important for a healthy "you."

Your diet has a very strong correlation to mental health. Having a healthy diet goes hand in hand with having healthy mental health.

3. D-I-Y Beauty

Spend time in taking care of your beauty – appreciate your beauty. D-I-Y beauty is a great way to spend time on ourselves! Put on a facemask, do your makeup, paint your nails.

Fetching the inner girly in you invariably sets a smile on our faces; doing these little things forever makes us nostalgic about our childhood days.

4. Optimize in Spirituality and Mental Health

Discovering your spiritual carriage can accommodate you to be in a more beneficial cerebral volume. Take time from your day, preferably in the daylight, or simply before bedtime, to read and study who you are, your holy scriptures.

Religious books are assumed to hold all the explanations of our mortal perplexities. Optimality in spirituality and devoutness is a transcendental approach to build your self better mental health.

5. Girls Night Out

Being with "your people" ever fits for the most tranquil space. Going out with your girls, and spending time with them, is a transcendent approach to stimulate communication and connection.

A connection is a fundamental ingredient in optimizing self-care. Connection and Communication help us articulate and verbalize our feelings and emotions in the most constructive style. Plus, who doesn't want a night out with their girls – Cheers!

6. Invest in Your "Thing"

We all have things that we love to do during our leisure, but at times work steers the action, and we become unable to do what we enjoy, whether it be art, music, or even dance.

Take time out of your day and invest in your "thing", in what makes you, YOU. Taking timeout for your crafts is an excellent practice for stress relief. Self-care always cheers you for being you and doing those little things that make you happy!

7. Heal

Last but certainly not the least, Heal. Healing serves as the ultimate gateway to happiness. Healing is not only a substantial chunk of self-care but also a necessity for achieving our abstract ideas of happiness.

Spend time reflecting and interpreting, what or who helps you heal. It's remarkably crucial to be there for yourself when you need you the most. Healing also helps you limit dependence on the presence of other people to make you feel content. It makes you a better person for yourself and the people you love and care about the most.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
