Has it ever happened that someone told you to keep a secret but you were unable to do so? Secrets come in two packages; good or bad. Some secrets are worth keeping because revealing them may prove detrimental towards a person's overall well-being and happiness. However, others are definitely required to reveal because the truth has the supreme power of restoring a person's life and sending them towards a path of righteousness and improvement. Sometimes keeping secrets is such a daunting and difficult task that it makes you want to squirt out all the facts immediately.

Nevertheless, there are usually solid and concrete reasons behind why someone tells you to keep a secret. It is recommended that we respect their wish and try to keep the matter to ourselves till they feel they are ready to disclose the secret themselves. Since the famous adage goes as follows: everything should happen at the right time and right place and so do the unveiling of shocking secrets.

For instance, a potential secret could fall into the lines of not divulging your most embarrassing incident quite easily. Many things can happen throughout the journey of life and sometimes some events are way more embarrassing and traumatic to display in the spotlight. According to recent surveys, the most popular types of secrets kept by most people circulate around affairs, embarrassing moments, web browsing history, family secrets, and phobias.

As a matter of fact, secrets that I have kept from family and friends are ideas about a surprise visit or a surprise party. Throwing surprise parties for family and friends are always incredible because you can spend some time stealthily anticipating the probable reactions they will give once they get surprised. Being able to observe that awestruck surprised look brings a huge smile on my face because that's when I start to realize how much surprises can mean to people. Their flamboyant award-winning facial expressions prove how not all secrets are bad to keep as they may end in surprises. As far as I know, surprises usually tend to be superb as well as a bit out of the blue.

At the same time, matters of the heart are also known to be quite an enticing secret to absorb and hold inside for a longer period of time. I have met many lovebirds in my life who have secretly fallen in love and were initially hesitant to accept their developing feelings for each other. As nature takes its course, both of them were unable to suppress their delicate and intensely driven feelings for each other leading to the subsequent outburst of expressions of love. Indeed, such secrets end up coming out in the open because these romantic feelings should not be kept inside.

Instead, these tender lovey-dovey feelings should be accepted and shared with the world without any fear or shame. Likewise, keeping secrets is alright if they are meant to be kept in the dark. But, please do not keep secrets if they are destined to be confessed in the public eye and will serve to eradicate all evil as well as promote enriched goodness in the world!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
