Western Media Is Bending Over Backwards For The Chinese Communist Party And It's Disturbing

Betrayal. We've experienced in one way or another. But what if that betrayal is being done by the media you've put your trust in?

That's what the Western Media is doing to their audience now and they've been doing this for quite some time. When the Coronavirus first broke out in Wuhan, China, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) did everything they could to suppress the coverage from the world. When Patient Zero contracted the virus back in November 2019 (Yes it goes that far back), the medical community whistleblowers said that Chinese doctors realized that they were dealing with a new disease in late December. Speaking of whistleblowers, Dr. Li Wenliang was the spearhead when it came to the early signs of the Coronavirus. When the Doctor posted a warning about the spread of the virus, Dr. Li was taken into police custody and was forced to sign a statement, saying that the warning he posted was an "unfounded rumor" and that he wouldn't commit any more "illegal actions." When Dr. Li died from the virus, there was an online uprising, with people decried the Chinese government for minimizing the magnitude of the outbreak and demanded more freedom of speech. If that's not suppression, then I don't know what is.

The suppression and death of Dr. Li Wenliang is just the tip of the iceberg though. The Chinese government are now engaging in deflection in order to avoid responsibility. Just recently, the CCP made the startling claim that the Coronavirus may have originated from the U.S. Army. Lea Gabrielle, who leads the U.S. Global Engagement Center said that the Chinese were "engaged in an all-out aggressive campaign to try to reshape the global narrative around the coronavirus, essentially to the degree of trying to provide an alternate reality of what has actually happened since December." But there's more. Remember when President Donald Trump got "called out" by that reporter who that the term "Chinese Virus", was racist? Well, you can thank the CCP for that. Chinese officials attacked Secretary of State Mike Pompeo for calling the Coronavirus the "Wuhan Virus". Lijian Zhao, China's Foreign Ministry spokesman, said that it was "highly irresponsible" for anyone to use the phrases "China coronavirus" or "Wuhan coronavirus." The Global Times, a state-controlled publication, put out a piece saying that reports about China's negligence concerning the virus, like the marking of China as a "disease incubator," was a transparent sign of "xenophobia" and "racism" against China. Our Western counterparts are, unfortunately following the CCP's suit. Members of the mainstream media and Congress restored to the policing of language and called people who didn't follow their political correctness were labeled as "racist". This act of betrayal was displayed by CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta and Rep. Ayanna Pressley. Acosta accused President of "xenophobia" when he called coronavirus a "foreign virus" during his Oval Office address to the nation. Rep Pressley said in a hearing that "Since the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak, we've seen not only the spreading of the virus but also a rapid spreading of racism and xenophobia." She went on to say that racism was the cause of decline at Chinese restaurants in her district, connecting the development to House members referring to "Chinese coronavirus." Anything for their overlord.

I know what you're thinking.

Why is the Western Media turning their backs on the public for a foreign entity?

To answer that question, China basically owns almost everything, from the NBA, Starbucks, Apple, and many other brands. With China's vast population, these brands depend on China for most of its revenue. This goes for mainstream news as well. If someone were to make not-so-positive-statements about China, well there goes your financing. Back in February, Chinese authorities revoked three Wall Street Journal reporters' press credentials for an opinion piece titled "China Is the Real Sick Man of Asia." Here's the twist. The piece was published in the Opinion section. It had nothing to with the WSJ's news. Fired by "guilt of association."

We can't stand by and let the CCP control our country. The American people and others need to hold the CCP accountable for the spread of the Coronavirus. The source has been identified but the culprits are engaging in defection to avoid responsibility and are blaming their adversaries for the malfeasance. In return, the Western Media engaged in treason to protect their own interest. If their malfeasance isn't addressed after the pandemic slows down, then the CCP will take advantage of this and will spin it on us. We can't let that happen. It's time we tell the truth about China's inhumane treatment without the fear of political correctness and show them how much of a superpower we really are. It's our country, not theirs.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
