All the things I learned in 2019 and so much more

This year was definitely one that taught me several things and has been a ride!

For starters, I graduated from high school! That was one of the best days of my life! Just being able to say that I accomplished a major milestone in my lifetime was incredible. To see everyone you'd grown up with share those memories and special moments together made it even better. Just to see that all of those sleepless nights and mountains of homework went to good use was everything I could ever ask for.

This year I also turned 18! Which means I can finally vote when the time comes, and I am already registered, and that's pretty much it. I am technically an adult which means my childhood ended already but I still consider myself a kid. I am the baby of the family after all.

This year was my first year of college, and let me just tell you that college is a lot of things that high school wasn't. College is three free zone where you get to choose when and where your classes can be, you can bring food to class, play your own music and so much more. Obviously since it is so expensive they always have free events for all the students to attend where you can get free shirts, free food, and other free stuff. On top of that you get to meet so many new people and make new amazing friendships. But it's not so lighthearted and easy. The content, partially, is more challenging and more drastic to your GPA. There's going to be a lot of quizzes, midterm, reviews, finals, and so much more.

This year was also my one year mark at my second job. I've been working at American Eagle for over a year now, and honestly I've loved working with so many bright and young people! It's been the best working there!

This year I went on my first road trip with my close friends. We went to six Flags and Disneyland! I loved every moment of it because we got to bond like never before.

My dad also because a United States citizen this year! He has come so far and he deserves it so much! I am so proud of him and he will always amaze me.

Thank you 2019, it's been a blast! 2020, here I come

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
