Who Cares About Romance When True Love Is A Four-legged Furball, Am I Right Ladies?

My family has always been obsessed with dogs, especially Golden Retrievers. Unfortunately, I didn't have dogs growing up because we lived in an apartment. I always dreamed of having a little puppy, though. My stepdad already had three dogs when we moved to San Diego, so I was overwhelmed! My house was heaven to me! One of the dogs was a Golden Retriever named Duke. He was a sweetheart. Unfortunately, he passed away. A few years later, we rescued another Golden Retriever named Stella. She was already big so I didn't get to see her as a puppy. Sadly, she passed away because she got sick. We were really sad, but we moved on.

Like I said, we were always obsessed with Golden Retrievers. One of my tías had two Golden Retrievers named Amber and Mica. We would always dog sit them because we loved them. My tía knew we loved Goldies. Then, back in 2016, she surprised with a Golden Retriever puppy! I wasn't there when she surprised us because I was at college, but my sister FaceTimed me and I was instantly in love. I wanted to go home so bad. He was so little and adorable!

We named him Cooper. He was a little cutie. He was Cooper the Cutie Patootie. He grew up so fast. I wasn't home all the time because I had to go to school, so everytime I saw him he was bigger and bigger. He would always bite as a puppy and it hurt a lot, but I didn't care because he was such a cutie. Love is more important than pain. The picture below was when he was just a couple months old!

When he turned one, we had a party. Why wouldn't we? We got him a cake and a birthday hat. We went all out. He enjoyed his cake so much. We sang happy birthday to him. Cooper was really a happy dog. And he made us a happy family. We love him so much, and I honestly don't know what we would do without him.

Now, he is almost two-years-old. He is truly a blessing in disguise. Cooper will always be there for you and follow you everywhere! He loves going to the beach and getting in the water. He loves going on hikes. He loves chasing bunnies. He basically is a little baby. He is our little baby.

When you have one Golden Retriever, you want another one because they're so cute. I've been trying to convince my parents to get another one so we could name him Anderson. Get it? Anderson Cooper. This has to happen, right?!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
