Disney World Is Not Just For Kids

Who wouldn't want to visit the Happiest Place on Earth?

Much like many other red-blooded human beings, I am a serious Disney fan.

I can quote every line of every Disney cartoon, sing along to any Disney song, and I know way more than just my fair share of Disney trivia. However, my absolute favorite part of being a Disney fan are the trips to Disney World. I was three years old when I went to Disney World for the first time, and that entire trip will forever be embedded in my memory. From my first Disney street parade to my first ride on The Rockin' Rollercoaster, that trip left an impression on me that will outlive any phase I go through. I am through and through a Disney-lover.

Though it's been 16 years since my first trip to the Happiest Place on Earth, I've taken a total of three other trips back since then. Each trip has been filled with more Disney magic since the last. People who don't understand or appreciate the one-of-a-kind Disney culture, simply just haven't experienced it. When I talk to friends who've never been, they always ask the same questions: "What's the big deal? Isn't it just another theme park? Isn't it just for little kids?". The answer to those questions will never fully be answered until the person asking actually goes and finds out for themselves.

Disney World is so much more than just a park for kids. It's actually several different parks, all within close proximity of each other. Each park has a different theme, and each ride, attraction, show, or restaurant is tailored to that specific theme. So even though there may be a lot of things targeted solely at children, there is an abundance of things for anyone in the entire family to enjoy.

Personally, I've never gotten to experience Disneyland in California, though I've only ever heard great things. Although it's much smaller than Orlando's Disney World, I'm still chalking it up on my bucket list because like I said, I love all things Disney.

Now, as a young woman, I'm about to embark on my fifth trip to Disney with my entire family. I think this is the most excited I've ever been for a Disney trip because I'm going to experience it for the first time with two of my little nieces. I can't wait to watch their eyes light up when they try their first Mickey Mouse ice cream bar, or see Cinderella's castle for the first time. I'm so lucky to be able to experience their first trip with them.

There's nothing quite like the magical world of Disney. It's almost too spectacular to try and put into words. From the flamboyant light and firework shows, to the incredible first-hand encounters with all of your favorite characters, there's something for everyone to enjoy inside the magical gates of Walt Disney World.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
