Disney has so many major iconic movies that have not only great songs to sing along with, but also lessons we will learn through our day to day lives.

1. Merida - Be brave

Giphy

Other than Merida being able to rock her long red curly hair, she is extremely brave throughout the whole movie. She sticks up for herself against her parents to be able to do what she loves best, no matter if she is a girl. She also puts her life at risk to help her mother bear. Merida teaches us to be confident and brave within ourselves.

2. Ariel - Love who you wish to love

Giphy

Ariel has always fathomed humans. Since Ariel falls in love with Prince Erik, a human, she teaches us that we can love who we choose to love even if our parents don't necessarily approve at first.

3. Woody and Buzz - "You've got a friend in me"

Giphy

Throughout all three Toy Story's, Woody and Buzz's friendship is always put through the test. They show us that no matter what, in the end they will always be there for one another.

4. Beauty and the Best - Don't judge a book by its cover

Giphy

This iconic Disney movie tells the story of a beautiful girl falling for a horrific beast. In the beginning it shows how cruel the beast is, but throughout the movie Belle begins to fall for the beast. This shows us that no matter the looks from the outside, someone can truly surprise you for who they are deep down. You should never judge someone, especially by their looks.

5. Moana - Follow your heart

Giphy

Moana has always been called to the water since she was a child, so she plans to leave her island. She shows us to go after what your goals are in order to protect your loved ones around you, even if they warn you not to.

6. Lion King - "Hakuna Matata"

Giphy

... it means no worries, for the rest of your days.

The Lion King teaches us not to worry, and to just trust "the circle of life".

7. Frozen - Family is first

Giphy

Ana and Elsa show us that through thick and thin, family is always going to help you face whatever challenges you might have. Although Elsa froze all of Arendelle, the way to unfreeze it is to thaw a frozen heart. Because of Elsa's love for her sister, Ana, she learns to control her powers.

Whether you need a friend to lean on, or want to go after your lifelong goals, Disney is there to show us that we can do anything we put our minds to.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
