When we think of celebrities we think "famous" as well as combinations of positive and negative comments. What society may not know or fathom to realize is that all celebrities, no matter how famous, are just like us. They have just as many problems and just as many struggles as those of us who are not in the public eye.

In Demi Lovato's documentary on YouTube, she explains her struggles behind the spotlight. She was a girl who grew up bullied; it is because of being bullied she grew up with an eating disorder. Her biological father was an addict. This became a risk factor in Demi's life. She found a friend who introduced her to drinking, partying, and that leads to her being introduced to drugs. As her career began to take flight the stress of the fame, expectations, and fans drove her to abuse Adderall, and in the future, Cocaine.

This documentary shows her journey in recovery of her addictions along with background information. The documentary also journeys her latest album and the steps into making it. Demi was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder and an eating disorder on top of that. She was also an alcohol and drug addict as well. Her journey back came with a lot of struggles but to this day she is six years sober, and she is proud of it!

This documentary lets us know that we are not alone. She also shows some very unique ways of coping with her disorders and sobriety. Demi does jiu-jitsu and boxing to help take her mind off of food, drugs, alcohol, and her bipolar disorder!

Demi is a role model to anyone who struggles with mental health disorders along with addictions as well. She truly shows that anyone can make it back after hitting rock bottom!

Stop and take the time to watch this amazing woman's journey to recovery.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
