Leaving your home personalized with your special touch doesn't have to be expensive. Through DIY it is possible to transform environments from inexpensive and easy to find materials.

Use pallets and fair cases

You may have already noticed that the fashion of fair cases and pallets is here to stay. With the crates and pallets in hand, choose the shelf models you want to make: just customize it. These materials can be easily found in markets and wholesale that usually discard this masterpiece that can become a beautiful decoration object.

Invest In Tile Sticker

Now you can give another face to that tile that you can no longer stand, without breaking anything. Use adhesive tile. There are thousands of different prints, one more beautiful than the other and the application is quick, just follow the manufacturer's instructions.

RTA Cabinets

Another great way to personalize your kitchen is to use RTA - ready to assemble - cabinets. You choose everything from scratch including sizing, design, knobs and pulls. See all the different options and start building your own cabinet at this cabinet store.

Make a blackboard

How about running away from the traditional and bringing the blackboard into the kitchen? In it you can write down recipes, reminders and errands. You will need:

  • Matte black or gray contact paper the size you want
  • Chalk
  • A clean dry cloth
  • Stiletto

With the materials in hand, simply clean the place of the wall that will be transformed and apply the contact paper. To avoid bubbles, rub the dry cloth over the paper in a circular motion, and when finished, cut the burrs with the stylus.

Reuse canning glasses

Do you know those mayonnaise or canning glasses that you were going to throw away? Reuse them all. There are several possible ideas for reusing glass jars: spice holders, lamps, glasses and flower pots.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace.
