The Death of Kobe Bryant Shows Us We Need To Live Everyday Like Its Our Last

This is why we have to live life to the fullest.

Bryant Family

Sunday, the whole world, whether they were basketball fans or not, was shocked by the sudden death of Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, they were killed in a helicopter crash with a couple of others as well.

I am not a huge fan of the Lakers (Chicago Bulls all the way!) but the fact that Kobe was only 41 and had his life taken so soon is a tragedy. I can't imagine how Kobe's wife is feeling, along with his other daughters—a mother lost her husband and child and the girls just lost their sister and father. No one should ever have to go through that. No one should ever have to die when they still have so much more life to live.

The world not only lost a legend but a family lost a husband and a father, and there are also other families who have lost loved ones too (one of Gianna's teammates and her parents also died in the crash). The pain that they are feeling right now is unimaginable.

I hoped that I would not have to write an article like this. Unfortunately, this also really shows how no one ever truly knows when their last day is going to be, so this is why we have to do these things.

Give your loved ones hugs, kisses, whatever it is you do with them to show how much you appreciate them.

Also, spend time with your loved ones. You can always make money, but you can never get time back with them. So take that day off or leave early to spend time with them whatever it is you are doing because you never know what is going to happen. Even if you can't always see them call them and find out how their lives are going, every conversation matters.

While we may not all be Lakers fans or even basketball fans, I feel like we can all learn something from Kobe—a legend not just on the court but also off the court as well.

Please also don't forget to pray for the family of Kobe and Gianna and also the other victim's families as well—it is going to be a very hard time for all of them.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
