Technology and social media have become such a huge and constant part of our society in recent years. It is amazing that we have found different ways we can communicate with someone from the other side of the world. In 2017 the famous app, Vine, was taken down. Here are some of my favorite references to keep Vine in our thoughts and memories.
1. "Whoever threw that paper..."
A true classic, am I right or am I right?
2. Someone call Olivia Benson ASAP
As this iconic show opener says, "...the dedicated detectives who investigate these vicious felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Victims Unit."
3. "YEET!"
My roommate and I say this at least 20 times a day, collectively.
4. "Watch your profanity!"
Whenever my professors swear in class, this is exactly what I hear in my head. Am I the only one or anyone else can relate to this?
5. "Hi, welcome to Chili's!"
Chili's has never been the same since this Vine happened.
6. "That's my opinion!"
You know, when you try to speak your mind, but your professor doesn't agree? Yup, this is exactly how I feel.
7. "Look at all those chickens!"
But, do you see all those chickens?
8. "Road work ahead..."
This is such a true road trip staple!
9. "I'm Jared. I'm 19, and..."
When your professor asks you to read a paragraph aloud for the whole class, but you're a Jared. Oops, sorry!
10. "Patricia!"
To all your floor-mates that love to yell: please let a ya girl study!
11. "They are my crocs!"
This is for all of us that loves Crocs!
Although we've had to part from it, Vine can never be forgotten. It truly has had an impact on everyone's life. As we are all trying to stay strong and keeping the legacy up through constant reference, we hope to see Vine in the app store again, soon.
