9 Best Places To Stress Cry On Campus

It's college. No one is judging you, especially this time of year.

1. The Library

You're there already to study, might as well knock out two birds with one stone. Most campus libraries have plenty of study cubicles and semi-private places to let your tear roll and relieve some stress.

8/10: If you can find a private corner.

2. The Dining Hall

The perfect place to stress eat and relieve some built up emotions at the same time. It'll be loud in there, so no one will notice your breakdown.

5/10: Not the most private place.

3. Lecture Hall

If you can't afford to miss class but still need to release the floodgates, just sit in the back, and you'll be good. Laminate your notes or lecture slides to prevent water damage, and you'll be golden.

3/10: No privacy and takes away from class, but mad respect.

4. Dorm common room

If you get bored of crying over your homework at your desk in your dorm, try a change of scenery and head down the hall to the common room. It's a short walk, but getting out of your room can cure more than just your stress.

5/10: Still close to the safety of your dorm, but no one can claim you never leave your room.

5. The Quad

If the weather is nice, go sit on your university's quad or courtyard and let nature calm your tears. Getting some sunlight and fresh air will help your stress heal.

7/10: Fresh air and sunshine help improve moods!

6. The Gym

You probably don't want to be there anyway, but since you managed to get out of bed and go all the way down there AND workout, you deserve it. Cry it out. Treat yourself.

2/10: Who wants to run anyway?

7. Computer Lab

Now this one usually means a quiet room, so if you can silently sob, go right ahead! The great part is you can get some homework or studying done while you do it. It's always a good idea to try and multitask when you're so swamped with work.

8/10: Multitasking for the win.

8. Your Dorm

Whether it's in the shower, your bed, or at your desk, you just do you, sweetie. Your room is your sanctuary, let your tears come, it's okay, it's your "me time." If you happen to be close with your roommate, have a cry sesh together and bond like never before.

10/10: The most private place, no judgment.

9. Literally Anywhere

It's college, it doesn't matter. No one cares, they all understand. Just be proud of yourself for even going! You're doing great and you got this! Try not to stress and overthink too much. If it's acceptable to nap anywhere in college, you can definitely cry anywhere.

9/10: Just do you.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
