Don't sleep through all hours of the day, but sleep helps you feel good and you can be more aware and accepting of what is going on in the world. If you don't get enough sleep, this already sets you up to be tired and mad at the world.

3. Hope

You can still have fun. Meet a few friends outside in the park when it's not too cold and social distance. You can join in a virtual dance class. You can do a crafts project. Just because things are different this year does not mean you can't have fun.

5. Keep In Touch With Others Virtually

Don't forget the beautiful thing about a phone that helps you call and video chat with others. You can text as well, use ZOOM, and chat boxes on Facebook to keep in touch with others.

Before Taylor Swift's transition from a country/pop sweetheart to a crazed vengeful victim, I was a huge fan of hers. I've been listening to her music for as long as I can remember.

For at least my past seven birthdays, I've checked to see if Taylor Swift mentioned my new age in one of her songs.

Reasons Why You Don't Fit Into Your Generation

For those who have always felt a little out of place.

15606
puzzle pieces representing not fitting in this generation

Throughout my entire young adult life, I have never truly felt like I could connect with most people my age. Parents and teachers have said things like: "you're such an old soul" or "you're wise beyond your years," and all I know is that I don't seem to fit into my generation. While I do not think this is totally true, I do have a problem with the way many people my age present themselves in society. This being said, I am not sure if I am more upset with my generation or the group of people I have been forced to be associated with during this time of adolescence; for if things change when we enter the next phase of life, I might feel differently about "my generation".
