Poetry On Odyssey: Two Stepping The Night Away

Here we are once again

It sure is nice to see you crossing my path again

But this time holding one another so tightly

Two stepping the night away

You grab me by the hand and kiss me

Slowly easing me into the music swaying me back and forth

Losing each other throughout the dance floor

Yet moving in sync with one another

Forgetting there is even anyone else there

Oh how you caress me so sweetly and

Instantly make me feel so wanted

Seeing how you move in the white noise as if we are invincible

It is just you and me

And just when I thought it could not get any better

You lean me in and dip me down into the warmest kiss

And everything stops

…

And at that exact moment, I knew

I knew your heart had been longing for love

You have been hurt but you loved as if you had not

And there we go off into the distance blurring away

Two stepping the night away
