6 Reasons Country Concerts Are Superior To All Other Concerts

Many people hate country music, but will still go to country concerts! You wouldn’t think it made any sense, but after this article, you’ll be wanting to go to one yourself! Here are a few reasons why:

1. Cowboy/cowgirl boots and hats.

You won’t see anyone wearing cowgirl boots or hats at a normal concert. Of course people wear them, because what’s a country concert without tipping your hat to a sweet lady? You know for a fact, though, that the girls will be wearing their boyfriend's hats by the end of the night, waving it around screaming the lyrics to their favorite song!

Also, cowgirl boots are super comfortable. They let you dance and stay up all night! “We stayed up all night long, made our drinks too strong, feelin’ ten feet tall, ropes swingin' into water in the middle of the night” (comment on this article if you know who I’m referencing)!

2. Down to earth lyrics that everyone will know!

Even if you don’t like country, you know these lyrics. They’re in the top ten on the radio, playing every day on every station; you’ve had to listen to it at least once.

Rascal Flatts with his music in famous movies, Sam Hunt having sexy lyrics, and Thomas Rhett pulling your heartstrings. You’re bound to know at least one song at any country concert.

3. Trucks: lifted, red, black, Chevy, Toyota--you name it!

At some concerts, the audience gets dropped off and walks right to their seats, anxiously waiting for the performance to start. But at a country concert, there is always a tailgate. There’s no better way to tailgate for hours than to sit in the back of a truck with your friends. Not to mention trucks have the best height and placement for group pics!

4. Relaxed vibe.

If you were at any other concert, there would be annoying screaming fans everywhere, totally killing your vibe. But not at a country concert! Nothing feels better than sitting on the giant lawn grass, maybe a little tipsy, listening to the guitar and sweet voices singing, and hearing chatting amongst the masses.

If you don’t know the lyrics, you will still feel welcomed and in the right place; the music is soothing, and the people are there to enjoy, relax, and sing their heart out!

5. Sexy cowboys…everywhere.

Country concerts are usually big venues with many fans. During the tailgate, it’s fun to walk around and explore who’s there and who you’d like to talk to! What’s even better is catching wind of a group of cowboys looking for some ladies to flirt with and buy drinks for!

You will not be able to find any sweet cowboys at any other concerts except country. Trust me.

6. The outfit makes the night.

You want to be comfortable if you’re going to be shaking your booty all night like Luke Bryan! Levi jeans, ripped shorts, tank tops, a flannel always accompanied with converse, flip flops, or cowgirl boots! Keep it simple yet sexy and the night will be great!

Hope you are buying your tickets now! You know you can’t resist country concerts!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
