The plot, enemies, power, worlds, and characters in the franchise all remind me of college.

The franchise "Kingdom Hearts" is one of my favorite games. I always relate this to college because there are some things in the franchise that actually remind me of college when I think about the franchise. The plot, enemies, power, worlds, and characters in the franchise all remind me of college.

1. "Simple and Clean (Ray of Hope Mix)" by Utada Hikaru was my opening song during freshmen orientation

It was the call to a new adventure and it fit with the summer mood at that time.

2. "Sanctuary" by Utada Hikaru was my opening song during the 1st semester

"Sanctuary" reminds me of saying goodbye to my friends from high school when I am entering college. Those friends I am saying goodbye to are the ones that are going to a different college. College is where my fears and lies from high school will end.

3. Donald and Goofy are my sisters, while Sora is me in college

My sisters were with me during my first year of college. They helped me navigate our college. It reminds me of Donald and Goofy when they helped Sora in his adventures. The eldest twin is Goofy because she is smart like him. The younger twin is Donald because she is tough like him.

4. The Worlds in the game are like the different colleges that my friends are at

Sora, Donald, and Goofy travel to many worlds in the game. They meet up with a lot of characters. I have never been to different colleges. Maybe I should go to those colleges one day to meet up with my friends.

5. The Gummi Ship is the car that my sisters and I use to get in and out of college

Sora, Donald, and Goofy ride on the gummi ship to go in and out of the worlds. Our blue car is like the gummi ship.

6. The Heartless and Nobodies are my assignments

Sora, Donald, and Goofy have to destroy a lot of Heartless and Nobodies in the game. In college, the professors give me a lot of assignments to take down.

7. The big bosses are the exams

There are also big Heartless and Nobodies that Sora, Donald, and Goofy destroy in the game. The size of those bosses can be a great estimation of how long the exams are.

8. Organization XIII are the professors

Organization XII likes to throw Heartless, Nobodies, bosses, and replicas at Sora, Donald, and Goofy. The professors at college like to throw assignments and exams at us.

9. The Keyblade is my pencil, pen, and computer

The Keyblade destroys any enemy. My pencil, pen, and computer kill any assignment and any exam.

10. In psychology class, Xion is my friend, while Roxas is me

Roxas, Xion, and Axel are important characters in the game. They like to sit together at the tower in Twilight Town. I sit next to my friend in psychology class. It was Roxas, Xion, and Axel sitting together on the tower at Twilight Town. In college, there is no Axel and sea salt ice cream. Just me as Roxas and my friend as Xion. We also watched "Dumbo" at our college's cinema. We were sitting together in the cinema just like the trio did on the tower at Twilight Town. One important fact is that Roxas cannot afford to lose Xion just like I cannot afford to lose my friend in college. She might be the only friend that I have at college.

What would college be like for me without the "Kingdom Hearts" franchise?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
