10 Confessions Of A Coffee Addict
Kimi Kiley

"Hi, my name is Kimi and I am a coffee addict."

*group mumbles* "Hi Kimi."

I think we all know a person that is hands down obsessed, addicted, and attached to coffee... if you DON'T know that person, you probably are that person.

But it's okay, don't sweat it. Someone has to speak for all of us right? Here are the untold confessions of every coffee addict.

1. Basically, your entire bank statement is filled with Dunkin' Donuts, Wawa, Starbucks, etc., transactions because you buy coffee a little (a lot) too frequently.

2. You just don't want to talk to anyone or do anything until you've had some coffee. Even after just one sip you feel 10 times more ready to deal with whatever your day is throwing at you.

3. No matter what you're drinking, you're going to wish it was coffee. Sure that iced tea or water or maybe soda may be okay... but you know what would be way better?? One iced coffee with cream and sugar please.

4. You can say your coffee order 10 times fast without messing it up, you can say it backward, forwards, you know it like the back of your palm and you KNOW when they mess it up.

5. Coffee stains become part of your daily outfits... I don't know about you, but I drink my coffee while I'm driving, walking, working, texting, and I'm a messy person. Catch me with coffee stains everywhere, it's okay.

6. Chugging your coffee is definitely one of your better talents. Drinking your coffee slowly was thrown out of the window a while ago and no sooner do you buy your coffee, it's already gone. We've all been there.

7. You're not picky about your coffee anymore. Iced coffee, hot coffee, flavored coffee... it doesn't matter. Just get me some darn coffee!

8. Your body may be so used to all of the caffeine that one cup won't wake you up anymore... you'll find yourself still yawning throughout your day and maybe even buying another cup.

9. You'll literally drink coffee at any point of the day. Only having your "morning cup of coffee" is lame, be adventurous. Its 10 PM??? Why not! Go ahead, have a cup.

10. Empty coffee cups are probably everywhere. In your car, on your dresser, under your bed... It's okay though, just throw them out and no one has to know...

For all you coffee addicts out there... I feel for you. Whether you're banging out an essay late at night, have a long work shift ahead of you, or you're hanging out with friends and "grab some coffee," coffee rocks. You probably had some right before reading this. I had some while I wrote it. We're all in this together though, right??

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
