Picture this: your favorite artist is going on tour, coming to your town, performing your favorite album of all time, but tickets are over 100 dollars. Those are pretty steep tickets. Is it really worth it? I've gone to a few concerts in my short but fun life, and I've never been fond of paying a lot to go to them. But, if my favorite band was coming to my hometown and I had the funds to go, I would!
Artists going on tour isn't always as common as people think. It could be years in-between each tour they take, with different albums, and a different sound sometimes. They may go on quite a few over the years of their career, but they will all be different. If you really enjoy a specific album, then I would consider spending the money for tickets. You'll be taking a risk not knowing what their next album will be like, or not knowing if this is the bands last tour or not.
Another reason why I would consider going would be if they were at my town, or close. You never know where artist will chose to go on their tour, if they're near you for one tour, they possible may not go there for the next. Tours are risky for them and the buyer, both not knowing the future or what will come of next.
If this album is your favorite album the band or artist has out yet, I would strongly advise you to consider going! I've made this mistake, so take it from me, if you really enjoy the album, go! I decided against it, due to the price of tickets, and the next album that came from the band, I ended up hating.
Concerts will be experiences you will never forget, especially with todays technology, you can record most of it if you'd want to! Every concert is a different experience, because no matter what, every band or artist is unique and different. If you go with friends, you will cherish those memories with them. You can go to concerts with your parents, or siblings, and still cherish those memories forever.
Concerts are such a great time if you enjoy rocking out to your favorite artist for a few hours. A good concert can be spent with friends, bonding over music, or you can go by yourself and still have just as great as a time! If you have the funds, I would say treat yourself! It never hurts to have a good time with great music!
