You've finally done it. You've successfully completed your college career! All the blood, sweat, and infinite tears all brought you to this day. While you'll never forget these wonderful college years and all the great memories you made, you may find some of the not-so-awesome aspects of college haunt your dreams for years to come.

1. Never having a break because the work followed you home.

2. Questioning the meaning of life thanks to spending 17 years doing nothing but school.

3. Having to put the equivalent of a down payment on a house just to afford textbooks.

4. Irregular sleeping patterns.

5. Irregular eating habits.

6. Never truly being able to relax because you were always thinking about a test, project, grade, homework, etc.

7. Spending more nights in the library than your bed.

8. Preparing like you’re about to fight the white-walkers with your bare hands every class registration period.

9. Never being able to park within a five-mile radius of campus.

10. Being late to class because the bus you had to take, because of no parking, was late.

11. Gaining weight.

12. Having awkward gaps between classes when you don’t know if you have enough time to go home but also think you might die if you stay on campus.

13. Needing to choose two of the following three things: social life, good GPA, or healthy lifestyle.

14. Finally realizing you actually only have time to choose ONE of those.

15. Group projects.

16. Group projects that weighed more than anything else for your grade.

17. Having to buy your own scantrons for the exams you’re being forced against your will to take.

18. The worry that comes with knowing that the weight of how your life is going to go in the future is relied heavily on how you do in college.

19. Getting to know the Starbucks menu all too well.

20. Breaking down crying when you have no idea why.

21. Feeling like you’re paying to receive busy work.

22. Feeling like you’re paying for someone to read you PowerPoint slides.

23. Being broke.

24. Running like Forrest Gump when you had back-to-back classes on opposite ends of campus.

25. Those classes you were required to attend but never brought value to your life.

26. Reading and rereading your textbook while attempting to force the information to stick for once.

27. Driving in a town that is populated with a bunch of 18-22 year olds.

28. No rounding up even if you're only down by .01%.

29. Having a trillion random numbers in your phone from people you wouldn't even be able to recognize.

30. Senior-itis.

While these are definite downsides to college life, you have many more positive memories of college than negative ones. You're sure going to miss the time you spent at your alma mater, but it's time for the next chapter!

When I was learning how to talk, I was taught both Portuguese and English at the same time. In elementary school, I started taking mandatory Spanish classes, which I did well in because of my knowledge of Portuguese. Then in high school, on top of taking Spanish, I also started taking French. Now, in college, already fluent in English and Portuguese, I'm in the process of becoming fluent in Spanish, and I have a standard high school level understanding of French.

I am without a doubt one of those people who refuses to start decorating for Christmas or listen to Christmas music until after Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, Thanksgiving has become an underrated holiday over the years. You barely see any Thanksgiving decorations in stores; it's like they skip right from Halloween to Christmas.

Some universities only get two or three days off for Thanksgiving break. Or, if your university is like mine, you get the whole week off go go home. A whole week off is a long time.
