College Friends Are The Best of Friends

College Friends

For most teens/young adults, college is a big deal. It's the next stage of their life. It's a more complicated, harder version of high school. For some, it's harder to make friends, some it's easier. But those friends you make, are forever. Whether you realize it yet or not. College friends are different. You live there, well most students live on campus, and for some of us we spend every day with the friends we make. I know I do. My best friend here, I am so glad that I have her you know. I feel like I have known her forever. She's become such a huge part of my life. It's so fascinating you know. You learn so much about a stranger that you just meet at a school you barely know in an area you barely know, and you become so close. I really do consider her one of my best friends. College friends are those type of friends that in 30 years when you come home after work after a long day and you're on your couch watching tv, they're the type of people you call or text, or even invite over to have a drink and just laugh. You share so many memories with one person and it turns out to be such a beautiful experience. I've spent every single day with my best friend since August 22nd, including some weekends. Now, I'm transferring schools so leaving her is going to be super emotional, but we are going to make it work because she became my best friend. All the late night talks until 2 in the morning, crying over dumb boys who break our hearts even in college, study sessions, acting stupid just for laughs, dying my hair, sleepovers every night. I can tell we really truly will be friends forever, and to me that's something that matters the most. College friends are the best of friends, and nothing can change my mind. This is to my best friend, I love you so much and thank you for being the bestest friend there is out there( I am aware bestest isn't a word)

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
