Halloween isn't necessarily known for its song, but maybe it should be because the theme of Halloween is in so many classic bops. I remember going to Six Flags Fright Fest as a kid, and just being so happy that it was Halloween season, and all they would play would be Halloween music. Just like any other season or holiday, music really puts you into the spirit of the occassion. Soundtracks to horror movies have become classics within our society, and really help to define Halloween and the time around Halloween. Here are some of my favorite Halloween tunes, that really put me in the mood for the season.

1) Thriller

Michael Jackson is an icon, and so is this song. I remember watching the music video as a kid and quite literally almost peeing my pants, because it was the first music video for me that really enhanced a song. The music video for "Thriller" is literally a mini horror movie, telling a story, even creating its own dance that everyone today still knows and loves.

2) Monster Mash

This song is literally so cute and fun. Although it's not meant to be scary, it's such a fun song that kids know and love.

3) Ghostbusters

An iconic movie, and an iconic song. Everyone knows and love the Ghostbusters theme song.

4) Superstition

I remember hearing this song at Six Flags so vividly. Even though it's not my favorite Halloween song, I still strongly associate it with Halloween time for me.

5) Somebody's Watching Me

Again, even though it's not one of my all-time favorites, it still has Halloween connotations for me.

6) Addams Family Theme

The Addams family is honestly such a great movie/show. The theme song is so catchy, and it's such a good, light-hearted Halloween bop.

7) Bring Me To Life

I'm not sure if this song is supposed to be a Halloween song, but I strongly associate this song with Halloween. It's literally so dramatic and I play out some sort of musical/play whenever I hear it.

8) Psycho Theme Music

Everyone knows this tune, even if you've never seen Psycho (which you should because it's a classic).

9) This is Halloween

The Nightmare Before Christmas is honestly such a good movie, and this song is such a good song (that's all their is to say about it).

10) Halloween Theme Song

This is such a creepy and timeless tune, that everyone instantly associates with Halloween upon hearing it.

11) The Twilight Zone Theme Song

Again, the tune automatically is associated with The Twilight Zone, whether you have watched the show or not.

12) Time Warp

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is amazing, and this song will always have a special place in my heart because I did a lip sync competition with it junior year! (Don't look it up on YouTube but know it's there!)

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
