Chicks in the Office: A Review

Maria Ciuffo and Francesca Mariano, co-hosts of Chicks in the Office, are honestly two of my favorite people on this planet, and I haven't even met them! These two ladies host a podcast, ran by Barstool Sports, discussing the biggest stories in pop culture, from celebrity relationships and breakups, to TV show recaps, to answering fan-submitted questions, and everything in between. If you haven't yet, you ought to give these girls a listen.

Everyone who knows me is aware that I have quite the guilty pleasure for all things celebrities. I was looking for a podcast that could keep me updated on the lives of all my favorite celebs, something I could listen to on the way to work, school, anywhere really. Honestly, thank God I found Ria and Fran.

Within the first ten minutes of listening to CITO, I knew I would immediately vibe with these girls. My car rides would never be the same. They are two of the most fun-loving, and hilarious people I have ever had the pleasure of listening to talk for hours on end. Between their banter with producer Noah, and celebrity impersonations, these two are constantly cracking me up. Not only that, but the realness these two bring to the table is unlike any other. Ria and Fran are completely honest and open, and they don't sugarcoat the stories they cover. They tell it how it is. If only everyone covered news like CITO; the world would be a better place.

One of my absolute favorite parts about the podcast are the celebrity interviews these girls feature. Chicks in the Office has included interviews with pop superstars the Jonas Brothers, Bachelorette beauty Hannah Brown, country artist Hunter Hayes, Jersey Shore star Snooki, and so many more. Getting to hear real conversations between actual celebrities and these super fun, down-to-earth girls is absolutely riveting and increasingly entertaining. (Not to mention Ria and Fran got to get drunk with the freakin' JoBros! How cool is that?!)

So, cheers to my favorite "New Podcast Available" notification. Ria and Fran, thank you for providing us with that Friday energy, everyday. P.S., I love the "Whoa! Did I just send that?!" portion of each episode. Never change, ladies.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
