Ranking The Top 5 Christmas Movies Of All Time

In This Article:

It's that time of year where all of the cheesy Christmas movies are constantly playing all over TV. Personally, I could watch Christmas movies all year round because they're just the best. They put you in the mood for celebrating Christmas, and all of the story lines are so good, even though they're pretty predictable.

Christmas movies never fail to make me happy and they always put a smile on my face. I such a sucker for cheesy rom coms, especially with a Christmas theme.

Here's a ranking of my favorite Christmas movies to watch this holiday season.

5. Elf

Of course Elf made the list. Will Ferrell does a fantastic job in this movie, and I find myself constantly laughing throughout this entire movie. Every year on Christmas eve, my family ends up watching this in our new pajamas that we just got to open, and after we had homemade lasagna.

This movie holds a special place in my heart because it reminds me of spending time with my family the night before Christmas, and nothing can ever replace that.

4. The Christmas Chronicles

I recently watched this movie last week with my mom and dad. I didn't have too high of hopes for this movie, but I was proven wrong by the end.

The story is about two siblings that lost their dad, and are spending their first Christmas without him in Boston. They don't get along very well, but they decide that they want to catch Santa in action on Christmas Eve.

When they catch Santa, they decided to jump in his sleigh, without him knowing until they get to Chicago. Then the sleigh breaks and crashes and they have to help Santa get his sleigh back together to save Christmas.

It's a super cute movie, and I would recommend it to anyone!

3. Four Christmases

This movie is hands down the funniest Christmas movie. Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn are a hilarious duo, and they keep me laughing from start to end.

From Vince's brothers being cage fighters, Reese's mom dating a pastor and then Reese having to play Mary in a live action of the manger scene, and Vince's best friend dating his mom; the movie is a whirlwind of actions.

Every time I watch this movie, it never disappoints, and it's just as funny as the first time.

2. Christmas with the Kranks

This is my mom's favorite Christmas movie of all time! It's on all the time at my house, and it's always recorded on DVR just in case. The movie is about how Luther and Nora Krank decide to take a cruise than celebrate Christmas.

This decision upsets their Christmas crazy neighbors, and throughout the whole movie they try to convince them to celebrate it with them.

The movie is a good laugh, and my favorite part is when Luther and Nora are getting spray tans at the mall, and their pastor runs into them, how awkward!

1. Love Actually

Ugh, this movie is just truly the best Christmas movie of all time. All of the love stories going on, and all of them oddly intertwined together is so cute.

My favorite love story has to be the one between the secretary and the prime minister. It's such a cute story, especially how he doesn't know where she lives, but yet he still goes to look for her on Christmas.

The other cute love story is when Colin Firth flies to Spain to admit his feelings for Aurelia in a restaurant, speaking very broken Spanish. It's such a cute declaration of love, and it response she said yes in English, which she didn't know before she met him.

These are my go to Christmas movies, and I hope some of these are yours too!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
