It is the most wonderful time of the year, mainly because of the Christmas movies that are played on television each year. Here are hands down seven of the best Christmas movies I look forward to watching each year, and you probably do too:
1. A Charlie Brown Christmas
A classic Christmas movie to sit by the fire with is "A Charlie Brown Christmas." It gives you the lesson of the true meaning of Christmas, but also the charm of the Peanut's gang.
2. Elf
Elf is a movie that plays well before Thanksgiving, but you still watch it all through the holiday season. You cannot just love Buddy the Elf's personality, and the way he spreads Christmas cheer, by singing loud for all to hear.
3. Dr. Suess's How The Grinch Stole Christmas (Animated version)
I personally get freaked out by the live version of Dr. Suess's classic Christmas tale, so I watch the animated "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." There's just something about how his heart grew at the end of the movie that warms my heart.
4. Christmas With the Kranks
Not too many people know of this hilarious Christmas movie. The story of two empty nesters is just downright funny and is always a movie I watch with my family during the holiday season.
5. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Who wouldn't fall in love with a red-nosed reindeer? You'd have to be an abominable snowman. I love watching Rudolph save the day and score the doe of his dreams.
6. Frosty the Snowman
You can never go wrong with watching Frosty the Snowman. He's a classic Christmas icon who warms the hearts of every viewer. Not too warm though, or he'll melt.
7. A Christmas Story
There's always something endearing about watching A Christmas Story. Ralph's story and interesting family life always gives me an entertaining watch each Christmastime.
