Christmas day is filled with a lot of excitement! From waking up early to open presents, to spending time with family, there's never a dull moment on December 25th. I think the SNL cast really portrays what Christmas day is all about, especially if you have a large and dysfunctional family to spend the Holidays with! Check it out!
So it's Christmas morning, and although you're a grown-up, your mom decides that this is the most important day of the year and goes absolutely over the top with last minute decorations!
The family starts to arrive...and in walks your grandparents with a big bag of gifts for everyone! They're basically the Oprah of Christmas... "You get a gift! and you get a gift! and you get a gift!"
The holiday spirit is definitely alive in your house! Holiday movies are streaming on the TV, your mom is loudly (and proudly) singing Christmas songs around the house, and everyone is gathered together to celebrate!
The moment has finally come to open presents... you're finally on your third gift and unwrap ANOTHER pair of socks! You're really grateful for even getting a present, but would've at least liked a pair of underwear to mix it up a bit!
The present time is over and you're cleaning up all of the wrapping paper that has been thrown around the room. Then you realize you accidentally threw away one of the pairs of socks your aunt gave you!
It's getting close to dinner time, so of course, you have to pregame for the unwanted conversation topics you know your relatives are going to bring up. Better drunk than sorry right?
Then, as expected, the least self-conscious person in the family brings up the worst topics... ranging from, politics, relationships, college GPA, future plans...Then you immediately regret not drinking that second bottle of wine you found in the pantry.
Regardless of how your Christmas day goes, I hope you have a great time with your family and friends! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
