If you love Christmas, then doing these activities will help you get into that holiday spirit. Christmas time is a wonderful opportunity to bond with loved ones and to really give to those in need or just out of the goodness in your heart. There is always something to do during the holidays whether you participate in a 5k run, or have a fun day with family. These festive activities will help you channel your giving spirit, and these activities can be fun for everyone.

1. Go ice skating

If you don't have super cold weather where you live, then go to an ice skating rink and act like you do. The activity is fun if you can ice skate, but it can be hilarious if you have never skated a day in your life!

2. Christmas Karaoke

Who doesn't like singing All I want for Christmas is you by Mariah Carey? I love that song when it's Christmas time. I never miss a chance to sing it!

3. Watch Christmas movies, and drink hot cocoa.

A few of my favorite Christmas movies are How the Grinch stole Christmas, Home Alone, and The Polar Express. Drinking hot cocoa just adds warmth to this activity.

4. Make homemade ornaments

This could be a lovely Christmas traditions for couples and for families.

5. Take Christmas themed pictures

You can take Christmas pictures of your dogs dressed up in holiday clothing, or you can take family group pictures and make Christmas cards.

6. Decorate the Christmas tree

Filling the tree with lights and ornaments is one of my favorite parts of Christmas. It can make your surroundings look so festive.

7. Holly jolly dance off

I recommend that you do this with friends, and I think it's so funny to just have a whole Christmas dance-off. Once you win the dance off I don't know if you will still have friends afterward (hopefully they aren't sore losers), but regardless its still fun!

8. Bake Christmas cookies

The pillsbury Christmas cookies are delicious, but homemade baked cookies with frosting gets me every time.

9. Take a drive to see neighborhood decorations

I don't know about you, but I enjoy seeing other people be festive. Seeing them be festive makes me want to be even more festive.

10. Donate or volunteer

This holiday season is always a chance to give back. Getting into that giving spirit will not only bless someone else, but that blessing will come back to you. Plus, even if you don't want to give people objects, you can always give blood because someone is always in need of that.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
