I've watched Grey's Anatomy so many times I can practically predict which character is going to die next. (SPOILER ALERT! Everyone you love dies and you cry, a lot.) One of the best characters in the show is Christina Yang because, while she may be distant, she is also caring in her own special way, and her perspective on life is accurate.

Having a significant other:

Being in a relationship where it feels like you are always giving and not receiving is toxic, and Christina reminds everyone that the most important thing in your life is you.

Looks will fade:

This is very true, there will be a point where collagen won't be able to do it's job as well as it used to and what truly matters is what you have learned.

What you wear to class doesn't matter:

Trust me, I'm more worried about getting the notes in Physics about Quantum Theory than if you have the latest Jordan's, or those new Lulu Lemon yoga pants. As long as you have good hygiene and you don't disrupt lectures, wear what you want.

Wasting time pleasing people:

Caring about what your loved ones think about you is important, but sometimes we start caring about what complete strangers think. That's when we have to take a step back and evaluate if those worries will build us up or tear us down.

Going to meetings or classes where attendance is not required:

I would still go because that's just who I am, but if I'm having a bad day or I am hungry? That's when I channel Christina.

Being able to sleep in while everyone is getting ready for work:

Being awake before everyone else and making a cup of coffee is amazing, but sleeping in whilst everyone is preparing to go to work or class is THE BEST FEELING!

When you can't find a professor on RateMyProfessor:

We all want to see how tough our semester will be with this specific professor so we look them up, and to our horror they are either new to the University or adjuncts, and there is no information on them.

Seeing the syllabus or work schedule for the first time:

You give yourself a pep talk about how you will crush it, but deep down you have a sense of impending doom.

When you realize people your friends are getting married, engaged, or having baby showers:

Seriously, where is time going? It feels like just yesterday I had to ask my high school teacher for permission to use the restroom.

That face you make when you get a text from your crush:

That feeling of "Wow, this person is thinking about me" is great, because, at least for that moment, someone other than loved ones is interested in your life. You are now one step closer to finding your own McDreamy.

When you get extensions on assignments or projects:

Having a million things to do is stressful, but there is always that one God-sent professor or manager who grants you extensions and you automatically feel closer to that person.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
