These personalities sure did seem familiar.

In college, you will meet a myriad of people. Amongst those people, you will experience a large variety of personality types. I've begun to realize that some of these people remind me characters that I have grown up watching on television. Below are a list of some of these iconic personalities. Maybe you'll recognize some, too!

1. The Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana (Hannah Montana)

This is the person that seems to have the "Best of Both Worlds" (pun definitely intended). She is a great student, appears incredibly hardworking and excels in all of her classes. She seems low-key, calm and overall relaxed. At night, though, she does a complete turn-around and is the party girl of campus. It's almost like she is two different people living two different lives.

2. Chad Dylan Cooper (Sonny With a Chance)

This is the guy that you refuse to follow on social media because you know that your feed will be flooded with tons of selfies and "Saturdays are for the boys" captions. He's the guy that is completely and utterly disappointed if a girl rejects him because he's never had trouble charming his way to success. His signature expression is either the mysterious smirk or the flirtatious wink.

3. Zack and Cody Martin (The Suite Life of Zack and Cody)

Everyone knows one pair of twins that are amazing. They are each others' best friend, but they're also two of the most outgoing and social people you will ever meet. In fact, if you ask someone about them, there is a pretty good shot that they'll at least know them as "those twins". They could be a bit wild, or they could be known for their antics like Zack and Cody, but overall, they're a power duo.

4. Justin Russo (Wizards of Waverly Place)

Everyone has that one protective friend that is usually astounded by the schemes you create. You purposely keep him out of the loop because you know to expect a lecture (which is exactly what happens when you do decide to fill him in). He's a strict rule-follower, but once in awhile, he'll slightly bend the rules in a way similar to only writing 495 words for a 500-word paper, and feel proud of himself for 'rebelling'.

5. Sam Puckett (iCarly)

This is the girl who no one dares to mess around with. She is probably one of the most opinionated, outspoken and blunt individuals that you will ever meet and you can never tell if you love her or hate her. Yes, she can be too aggressive most of the time, but her clever comebacks and carefree persona are admirable.

6. Trina Vega (Victorious)

She's beautiful and she absolutely knows it. She's definitely not the most humble person that you'll encounter, but you've grown accustomed to her rants about her talents and skills. In fact, like most of the Victorious characters with Trina, you've probably learned to tune her out whenever she starts to ramble about herself.

7. Jimmy Neutron (The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius)

You get so sick of this guy so easily. He is the person in class who claims to know everything. You wait and wait and wait until he is wrong, but somehow, he always actually does know what he's talking about. Even outside of the classroom, he is a pure genius. He's not quiet about his intelligence, which is his greatest downfall. The benefit of his gift, though, is his ability to answer most questions.

8. Mr. Crocker (The Fairly Odd Parents)

The local Mr. Crocker is the guy that is way too obsessed with something. Whether it be football, the latest Netflix hit, chemistry or a conspiracy theory, he is addicted. If you even dare to ask him a question about his passion, he will talk your ear off for hours and hours about why he loves it so much. Eventually, you just learn to never mention his obsession in front of him to spare yourself.

9. Charlie Duncan (Good Luck Charlie)

There is always that younger person that you somehow befriend. Because of the age difference (no matter how small), you feel the need to give them advice, since they seem so young and naive. Maybe they need it, maybe they don't, but you feel accomplished knowing that you potentially helped your younger pal with a life lesson.

10. Raven Baxter (That's So Raven)

The Raven Baxter is the person with the biggest heart and the best intentions, but usually ends up meddling where she shouldn't. She is the friend that feels that by adding her two cents or even taking it upon herself to help out, she is doing her part. Sometimes, though, her efforts do more harm than help. You can't blame her, though, because she is working in the best intentions.

Isn't it pretty cool meeting the real life versions of your favorite characters? I sure think so!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
