According to Webster's Dictionary, a disability is "a physical or mental condition that limits a person's movements, senses, or activities." It is basically a disadvantage one has against the norm. Everyone has felt as if they are alone in their journey at least once in their lifetime, or felt as if they can't get through something. Here is a list of people in the spotlight who show that they are more than their "disability."

1. Oprah Winfrey

Since Oprah Winfrey was diagnosed with blood pressure issues due to her "unhealthy lifestyle," she has changed her ways to healthier life style.

2. Lucille Ball

Lucille Ball, star of "I Love Lucy," struggled with rheumatoid arthritis since she was 17! If you have seen the show, you know Ball had more energy, while playing Lucy, than the rest of the cast combined.

3. Dwight D. Eisenhower

However, he never let this slow him down. He was a general in World War II and was responsible for the successful invasion of France and Germany in 1944-1945.

4. Nick Jonas

Nick Jonas went public with his Type 1 Diabetes in 2007. Just like everyone else, he had to learn how to deal with his abnormality.

5. Demi Lovato

6. Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez had a five year journey with lupus, and she just trucked on through it. When she came to her realization that she had this disease, she rose to the challenge. She had a kidney transplant in May of 2017, and she has been raising awareness for lupus.

7. Usain Bolt

Bolt is an Olympic athlete who has had scoliosis since he was born. He is also ranked number 11 on "The Best Athletes of All Time."

8. Bob Marley

Marley was diagnosed with malignant melanoma in one of his toes, but eventually spread throughout his body to his brain and lungs. He died at age 36, but is still famous for his reggae music.

9. Ted Williams

Williams ended his baseball career in 1960, and six years later was elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame. He suffered from a stroke in 1994, and lived until 2002.

10. Kim Kardashian-West

Kim is living with Psoriasis. At first, Kim freaked out about her skin condition, but now she is learning to live with it.

11. Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga has become very vocal about her fibromyalgia this past year. She has even made a documentary about her struggle.

You should never feel alone in your struggle, because you are not alone. There are so many more people out there that are going through the same struggle you are going through. Don't be afraid to lean on your family and friends, like many of these celebrities did, when you run into trouble.
