You have a special event coming up. First thing that comes to your mind is you need an outfit, hair, and nails done. If you're like me, when you do your nails at home they probably don't come out too great. I know I definitely have to go to the nail salon to be satisfied. This is usually how my nail salon addiction begins. I want to keep going back so my nails will always be done and I don't have to worry. Let's get into how the nail salon gets addictive though.
So Many Colors.
As soon as you walk into the salon, you have to make the hardest decision ever. Picking a color for your nails. There's just so many to choose from. How can you just pick one? Sometimes you end up so undecided that you might end up doing your nails one color while getting your toes another color if you get a manicure and pedicure aka mani pedi. I don't know about you but I always think to myself "I'm going to get that color I almost picked next time." Then I try to make time to go to the salon within the next weeks and here we are again haha.
You Can Get Gel, Acrylics, Designs, and Different Shapes.
The options are endless just like the nail color is! When I grow out my nails, my personal favorite is a gel manicure. I usually stick to square shaped nails. If my nails are stubby, I tend to go with acrylics but that is pretty rare for me. I have a hard time doing just about everything with acrylic nails on and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I don't think I feel any more powerless when I can't pick up a penny with my nails. It's the absolute struggle! But acrylics can look so good. Decisions, decisions. Acrylics are pretty damaging to your real nails in the long run though. I feel my nails are pretty weak once I take acrylic nails off.
The Massage Chairs!
At most nail salons, you get the pleasure of sitting in a massage chair if you get a pedicure. How awesome is that?! After a long day of running errands, being at school/work, or maybe even doing nothing, you get a nice little massage. Some nail techs even go the extra mile and give you a nice foot rub. The only thing about pedicure is they tickle. Depending on who you are, you might not like that but no wonder we always want to go back to the salon. For that lovely massage chair!
Your Nail Tech Can Become Your BFF
The more often you come to the nail salon, the more likely your nail tech will recognize you each time. They'll probably open up to you and you open up to them and boom, you're bffs! You never know, maybe they will give you discounts because of your loyalty. As soon as you come in for your appointment, you'll probably be greeted like this gif above.
