Everyone who has ever seen Lady Gaga live, or hasn't for that matter, knows she's an absolute powerhouse. Her shows are always all over the place (in a good way) and you won't hear a false note anywhere. The 'Joanne World Tour' is no exception. On Saturday January 20th she brought her tour to Amsterdam, after a small delay.
Gaga was originally scheduled to perform on October 3rd, but due to chronic body pains caused by the aftermath of her broken hip, she had to reschedule her performance to January. But it was definitely worth the wait! Every detail was taken care of and the stage looked magnificent.
The stage, which consisted of moving platforms and flying catwalks that transported her through the whole venue, was incredibly stunning and a treasure for the eye. And for the show element, of course. Her outfits were real Gaga outfits, but not over the top, which I really appreciated. During the ARTPOP Ball her overall shows was sometimes a bit much, it was just perfect this time.
The setlist was the best thing of the night, in my opinion. It was a great mix between her new songs as 'Diamonds Heart', 'Joanne' & 'Angel Down', old hits as 'Poker Face', 'Born This Way' & a beautiful acoustic version of 'The Edge of Glory', and fan favorites from older albums as 'ScheiBe', 'Bloody Mary' & 'Love Game'. And of course songs as 'Perfect Illusion' and 'Bad Romance' couldn't miss from this list. She ended the night with 'The Cure' and after that her encore with monster hit of this era: 'Million Reasons'.
Thank you Gaga, for the amazing night. Let's do it again soon!
