The Marvel Cinematic Universe began with "Iron Man" in 2008. This smash hit was then followed closely by "The Incredible Hulk." The public was then gifted with "Iron Man 2," "Thor," and "Captain America: The First Avenger." All of these movies led up to "Marvel's The Avengers," the first superhero movie of its kind.
But that was only the beginning. Phase Two kicked off with "Iron Man 3," followed shortly by "Thor: The Dark World." "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" was in hot pursuit with "Guardians of the Galaxy" not far behind. Phase Two ended with a bang in the form of "Avengers: Age of Ultron," where we got to see the heroes that we have grown to love over the years team up again to save the world. "Ant-Man" came out later that same year only to be followed by "Captain America: Civil War," the movie that broke fans into Team Iron Man and Team Captain America while simultaneously splitting the Avengers down the middle.
"Doctor Strange" came next with "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" a couple months behind, while movies like "Spider-Man: Homecoming" and "Thor: Ragnorak" were able to showcase some new characters in the MCU. That brings us to today, where "Black Panther" comes to theaters on February 16.
"Black Panther" is the last movie between now and "Avengers: Infinity War," which is set to premiere May 4 of this year. Fans have been waiting for this movie since the first end credit scene that showed us a glimpse of the big bad, Thanos. With all of the rumors surrounding who will live and who will die and with the contracts of so many loved actors and actresses coming to an end, this movie is sure to be the most anticipated movie of the year. Fans will finally have questions answered and they will be able to watch the story unfold on the big screen. With so many characters being cast in this film it will be sure to have the audience on the edge of their seats. I can promise one thing, popcorn will be a must.
