Coffee seems to stabilize most college students nowadays. Everyone is walking around with their iced coffee from Starbucks as they frantically run from class to class. Coffee seems to sustain us when nothing else can. However, I have met a lot of students in my boat who aren’t the biggest fans of coffee. Yes, there are more drinks in the world to give us a yummy boost during the day! Here are some delicious year-round caffeine-free drinks you can find on any campus that houses standard coffee chains.

The Cold:

Starbucks Iced Passion Tango Tea Lemonade

This tropical, extremely refreshing drink is perfect for any time of the year. It has a perfect mix of fruits, but it’s not overly fruity. You can get it sweetened or unsweetened, but I definitely recommend getting it sweetened.

Starbucks Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino

This drink is any chocolate lover’s dream. It’s almost like a milkshake but with a thicker, crunchier twist. It’s extra chocolatey and thick due to the chocolate chips. What could be bad about that?

Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Crème Frappuccino

This is a cold version of the pumpkin spice latte, but this one tastes fresher and tastier! The pumpkin flavors are mixed with milk and ice for a rich taste.

Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Pure Chocolate Ice Blended Drink

This is the freshest, creamiest chocolate ice drink I’ve ever had. It’s smoother than the Starbucks Double Chocolate Chip Frappuccino and it will never fail to give you the chocolate refresh we all secretly need.

Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Malibu Dream Ice Blended Drink

I was looking for a strawberry and banana smoothie, and I came across this drink. I decided to give it a try, and I was not let down. It was the most creamy, perfectly sweet, tropical-tasting smoothie I’ve ever had and I probably get this drink every other day.

Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Frozen Lemonade Fru-TEA

This lemonade is extremely refreshing. So much so that it tastes like fresh-squeezed lemonade. It’s a perfect mix of tangy and sweet!

Starbucks Iced Hot Chocolate

Didn’t think this was a thing? Neither did I until a few days ago. I asked the barista if she could make it for me and without a second of hesitation she said yes and began working on the order. It tastes just like their phenomenal hot chocolate but on ice and it surprisingly worked out amazingly! You need to try it out!

The Hot:

Starbucks Caramel Apple Spice

This is the best hot drink when you aren’t in a chocolate mood. With a fresh-tasting apple flavor mixed with cinnamon syrup, how could this be bad?

Starbucks Hot Chocolate

Starbucks, in my opinion, makes the best hot chocolate I’ve ever tasted. It never fails to amaze me with its rich chocolate taste. I definitely like a stronger chocolate presence in my chocolate drinks, so this definitely covers that preference but still isn’t overly chocolatey.

Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Hot Vanilla

If you already had your daily serving of chocolate or are one of those “vanilla people,” Coffee Bean offers a hot vanilla drink that you can’t go wrong with!

We don’t have to rely on caffeinated drinks to be happy, awake, and successful! Let these drinks enhance the rest of your spring semester!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
