It was the morning of Bid Day 2017 and roommates Lindy and Liz were getting ready to head off to Phi Mu to welcome new members home. As they were getting ready they realized they needed some sunglasses. With this in mind and some extra time on their hands, they then grabbed glasses and the beads nearby to begin decorating their new customized shades.

Solar Flair was then established and is now an up and coming business here at Ole Miss! These glasses are personalized upon order and can be covered with a variety of options. Solar Flair has a plethora of sorority related items to place on your glasses or you can request for any other decoration!

These glasses are not only cute but all proceeds made from these are going directly to RebelTHON here at Ole Miss! RebelTHON is a dance marathon that raises money year-round for Blair E. Batson, Mississippi's only children's hospital. RebelTHON is striving to raise $225,000 this year, so buying a pair of Solar Flair shades will help reach that total!

"We have multicolored beads, alphabet beads, sorority symbol beads & charms (keys, owls, dolphins etc) all the way to princess crown patches that we can stick on the glasses! We can really do anything anybody wants, and make them any color scheme or theme anyone would want!

We are hoping to sell to fellow Ole Miss students now, as all our profits are going towards RebelTHON! We think these glasses could be so fun as well for high school students (school colors for sporting events) as well as families for vacations (imagine beach or Disney themed)!" - Lindy Goodson

The glasses are the ultimate accessory and you can get your own pair for $15! Solar Flair lets you show off your favorite interests by customizing each pair just for you.

You can order yours here.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
