Last week I talked about the 10 reasons why you should make a bucket list. If you have not read it yet, you can find it here.

A bucket list is the list of things you want to do in your life. Short term, long term, whatever you wish. I want to help you create your list. I want to get you going so you can start experiencing greatness.

There really is no right or wrong way to make a bucket list. It can be anything you want it to be; things you want to try, goals you set for yourself, places you want to go, etc. This list is just to help you get thinking of things you would like your list to consist of.

Now let's talk about how to make a bucket list. First, the best way to have it set up that will work for you.

1. Write it all down

The first step is simple, just write it down. Don't worry about the how and when. Just start by writing down everything you can think of. We can worry about organizing it later; just get those ideas down before you forget them. It's important to remember that there is no limit. Let your imagination run free and even if it seems impossible to accomplish at the moment, write it down anyways.

2. Sort it

Now it's time to clean it up so it isn't so overwhelming and seems a bit more achievable. There are several different ways you can go about this. The best might be time; what you want to do over the summer, what you want to do this year, what you want to do before a certain age, etc.

3. Pick a few

You may have several items on your list, and it might be a lot to look at, so pick your top 3. Decide what you look forward to most, what's possible in the near future, and what you're able to do at the moment.

4. Plan it

Time for the basic questions so you can get planning. When is this all happening? Get as specific as you can for when you're going to do it. Who is this happening with or is this something you're doing alone? Where are you going and how will you get there? After all, there may be some travel arrangements involved. How are you going to accomplish this goal? How much money do you need? How are you going to travel there?. What do you need to make this happen? Figure out the first step, and get to it.

Now that you know how to make your bucket list, here a few ideas to help get your mind going.

1. Learn to play an instrument.

2. Travel to a foreign country.

3. Travel to all 50 U.S states.

4. Go skydiving.

5. Go bungee jumping.

6. Volunteer somewhere.

7. Complete a marathon.

8. Learn a new skill (juggling, knitting, playing chess, etc).

9. Go on a road trip.

10. Take a class (art, writing, cooking, education, etc).

11. Get a tattoo.

12. Ride in a hot air balloon.

13. Swim with an animal (dolphins, sharks, etc).

14. Go scuba diving.

15. Try strange food (frog legs, gizzards, octopus, liver, etc).

I hope those ideas help you get started on creating your own bucket list.

A bucket list is a great idea, so what are you waiting for?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
