Thanksgiving break is next week and while we're all longing for that sweet post-midterm rest and catching up with family and friends over an enormous home-cooked meal, I'm sure we'll also miss a few of BU's classic cuisine options once we're gone.

Here are a few Thanksgiving classics, Terrier Style.

1.) Turkey -> Cane's Chicken Fingers

Let's be real Cane's sauce beats gravy any day.

2.) Stuffing -> Rhett's Tator Tots at the GSU

All the delicious carbs goodness of Thanksgiving stuffing in a convenient tot-shaped package.

3.) Green Beans -> Dining Hall Salad Bar

Green beans are the dish you add to the side of the plate to hopefully offset the mounds of butter, bread, and sweet treats your grabbing and trick yourself into making the 'healthy choice.'

Similarly, you tell yourself hitting up the salad bar in Warren will offset those three pieces of pizza back at your table.

4.) Mashed Potatoes -> Dorm Room Easy Mac

The beloved Thanksgiving staple and its college counterpart. Both likely to start heated debates over if lumpy vs smooth potatoes are better and how much water you should ACTUALLY add to that Easy Mac cup.

5.) Cranberry Sauce -> Frat Party Jello Shots

Wiggly, vaguely fruit flavored, and something you probably never consume outside of its one particular setting.

6.) Corn on the Cob -> Microwaved Popcorn

Does this count as a vegetable?

7.) Any Version of Casserole -> Care Packages From Home

There's something about casserole's that just screams homey. Hearty and easy to bake, casseroles are typically the go-to option for pot-lucks or comforting a grieving friend or neighbor.

And just like a casserole, some colleges care packages are amazing (stuffed with chocolate. nail polish and Dunkin' gift cards) While others are...questionable at best (Looking at your stack of old magazines from 2007 and new toothbrush).

8.) Pumpkin Pie -> Pumpkin Spice Latte

Because we all know any true basic BU student would choose their precious PSL over an extra slice of dessert any day of the week.

9.) Pecan Pie -> Insomnia Cookies

For those of us who look forward to dessert more than any other part of their holiday meal, BU's own Insomnia Cookies will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth. Insomnia offers a ton of freshly baked flavors from Mint Chocolate Chunk to Cranberry Macadamia Nut~

10.) Wine -> Wine

Why mess with something that works?

11.) Thanksgiving Leftover Sandwiches -> T Anthony's Mozzarella Stick Pizza

Just as how the classic Day after Thanksgiving leftover sandwiches combines all your favorite holiday classics in a new, delicious way, T Anthony's legendary pizza topped with fried mozzarella sticks is an innovation in the fine art of drunk munchies.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
