It’s Britney b*tch — again.
It’s not much of a surprise that old trends are coming back. Just as history repeats itself, so does fashion! We are on a constant cycle of fashion, and if you’ve been paying attention at all to what clothing stores around you have stocked up on, we’re reverting back to the 70s and early 2000s.
So here we are, experiencing major déjà vu and flashbacks of break-dancing pop-sensation Britney Spears leading a fashion following. There are even reports of her performances returning to the Las Vegas strip! And no, it’s not just RuPaul’s Drag Race’s Derrick Barry impersonating her.
However, this spotlight isn’t out of the blue for Britney, seeing as though she was the face of Kenzo’s Spring 2018 La Collection Momento N°2. Check out the full line on Kenzo’s official website and be sure to see Spears’ steamy street pics.
Did this shoot (which proved Britney still has it and is the definition of a MILF) spark her inspiration to come out with a new line of her own? It must have because come spring 2019, her new line will be up for grabs on Amazon.
For this collection, Spears will be teaming up with the music and retail label, Epic Rights, to produce clothing, accessories, and lifestyle pieces designed and styled by Britney herself. Being so, I expect an array of sassy styles that make me want to blast her throwbacks and maybe dance around with a snake or two.
Not much information is given in the articles I’ve read on the announcement as to what sort of styles we’ll be seeing, but I can only imagine it includes a copious amount of sparkles, midriff, and mini skirts. Only time will tell if Britney still has what it takes to be a fashion icon, or if her new line will be….toxic.
