My Boyfriend Is My Sexy Bodyguard, And That’s Only 1 Of 14 Reasons I’m Spoiled AF

I completely own up to the fact that I've been spoiled beyond repair.

I hate to admit (or do I?) that I have been absolutely spoiled by my boyfriend. The amount of love he shows me each and every day is incredible. Once you've truly been shown love by a romantic partner, there's no turning back.

1. He always insists on driving.

My boyfriend always wants to be the one driving and he tells me it’s because he feels responsible for me and wants to be in control of keeping me safe. I love riding shotgun, especially since he gives me full DJ privileges and tolerates all my solo car concerts.

2. He opens doors for me.

This has gotten to the point where I’ll make it to a door and stop and wait for my boyfriend to come behind me and hold it open so I can waltz past him like the princess he constantly tells me I am. That is, if I don’t hear him yelling “wait!” behind me first as I approach a door!

3. He constantly kisses me on the forehead.

The feeling of the love of your life holding you close and kissing you on the forehead is incomparable to any other feeling. He couldn’t better express to me that I’m the most important person in his life any other way.

4. He surprised me with a romantic getaway for my birthday.

Here I was thinking I was going to have a quiet 21st birthday, but he had other plans. A romantic getaway to the Biltmore complete with a wine and chocolate tour and a stay in the historic Omni Grove Park Inn was how I spent my twenty-fun birthday.

5. He’s attentive of me.

People always notice this about my boyfriend while in public. He’s constantly got an eye on me to make sure I’m well taken care of. I guess you could say I have my very own (sexy) personal bodyguard.

6. He never fails to escort me at night.

My boyfriend always wants to make sure with his own two eyes that I make it to where I'm going safe and sound.

7. We embrace individuality, but together.

In our relationship, there is none of that “I do what I want” mentality, which is extremely rare to find, especially in guys these days. We are our own individuals, but we also know we’re a partnership so we’re sure to discuss everything with each other. We make sure our relationship takes priority above all else.

8. He tells me he loves me even when we’re in a fight.

I could be going absolute bat-shit crazy and he will still find the opportunity to tell me he loves me. How can a fight possibly continue when you realize you’re with someone who loves you for who you are, including all your flaws?

9. He holds my hand all the time.

My boyfriend is not afraid to hold my hand. In fact, he basically can’t keep his hands off me! If he’s driving or if we’re sitting, there’s a hand on my leg. If we’re walking, he’s holding my hand. I love being with someone who isn’t afraid to show everyone what I mean to him.

10. He wants to know my family.

I always dreamed of having a man who thought it was important to have a relationship with my family. He genuinely cares about them and always wants to be kept updated on their lives. He even has text conversations going on with my mom. Sometimes I think my mom has more inside jokes with my boyfriend than I do!

11. He sent me handwritten love letters our first summer apart.

My boyfriend actually sent me handwritten love letters, sent by actual mail. He even took the time to burn the edges of the first letter so it looked old-timey and worn.

12. He lets me choose my seat when going out to eat.

Every. Single. Time. He wants to make every date night as good of an experience for me as he possibly can. If only he knew his company was enough for me!

13. He carries all my stuff.

My muscles may be getting weaker as a result of this, but hey, I’m honestly not complaining.

14. He doesn’t go a day without letting me know I’m loved.

Not one day passes where he doesn’t verbally tell me he loves me, or shows it with some kind of gesture. He makes sure I never feel unloved and always reassures me that I’m the love of his life.

I will never be able to put into words how blessed I am to have him in my life. I have truly found my best friend and dream man, and nothing in this world makes me happier. I have definitely been spoiled beyond repair.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
