Oscar Wilde said, "If one cannot enjoy reading a book over and over again, there is no use in reading it at all.” I love this quote, and it really summarizes my feelings about reading. If I invited all of you over to read books, you would find that 99% of my books are 'gently' used and written in. If you are wondering about that 1%... I haven't read those yet. Writing in books just makes me feel like they are apart of my life and they are mine now. From one crazy book lover to the next, here are seven of my favorite books that everyone should read.

1. The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz
Be impeccable with your word.
Don't take anything personally.
Don't make assumptions.
Always do your best.
2. Looking for Alaska by John Green
John Green is a notable author, and he creates educational Youtube videos with his brother Hank on a channel called Crash Course. I have read my fair share of John Green novels, but my all time favorite will always be Looking for Alaska. Follow the story of young Pudge as he transitions to a new boarding school, and After.
3. I am Malala by Malala Yousafza
Everyone in the entire world should read this book. Just saying. It speaks for itself.
4. Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie
This is one of the first murder mystery books I ever read, and it is still one of my favorites. Agatha Christie truly is a queen in the world of literature. You may also want to read this book soon because it is about to become a major motion picture!
5. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
You may have to read this book for class, but it's actually an incredible book filled with symbolism and beautiful things. You have to make room in your library for this classic book.
6. Room by Emma Donoghue
Room is a fantastic book about a mother and her son Jack surviving in an 11x11 foot space. The whole book is written from the son Jack's perspective, which truly adds a unique twist to the book. "Ma" as Jack calls her, was kidnapped when she was 19 and has been held captive in an 11x11 Foot shed ever since. The man who kidnapped her has been dubbed by Jack and Ma as Old Nick. Old Nick makes regular visits and provides Sunday supplies for his two prisoners. However eventually tension and problems arise forcing Ma and Jack to come up with a daring plan to escape their Suburban prison.
7. The Best of Me by Nicholas Sparks
I couldn't write a listicle about books without a Nicholas Sparks novel. The Best of Me is one of my favorite Nicholas Sparks novels and it will always have a permanent spot on my bookshelf.
